Position: Donor Services Coordinator
Pay Rate: $29.50/hr
Duration: 8 weeks
Expected Shift: 9AM-5PM, 40hrs/week
 
 
JOB SUMMARY
This role is a temp to hire. Objective is to convert once contractor has worked 8 weeks but has to have good performance and attendance.
 
Dress code is business casual.
 
This role works with 2 other team members. The actual title of this role is a Development Coordinator, also known as Donor Services Coordinator or Non-Profit Specialist.
 
This role requires at least 3+ years of relevant experience coordinating payments, donations, updating gifts/donations in Raiser's Edge, etc.
 
Hiring manager needs a candidate versed in non-profit facilities because of rules processing donation and gift transactions.
 
Candidates can have healthcare experience but any non-profit and donor services experience are relevant but must have at least 3+ years of donor services/non-profit.
 
Raiser's Edge is a HARD requirement. Resume must have Raiser's Edge listed. The duration of Raiser's Edge experience is flexible.
 
Resumes could be in person or over teams. Role is onsite M-F.
 
Flu declinations are not accepted, only Medical exemptions are allowed & they must be signed by healthcare provider. COVID is also still required at downtown, but they accept Medical or Religious exemptions.
 
 
JOB SUMMARY:
 
Under supervision of the Sr. Director of Finance and Development Operations, the Development Coordinator (DC) will receive, process, and receipt all gift information for contributors to UMMS Foundation. In addition, the DC will coordinate and make physical changes to donor database [Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge for Windows and manage the way data is entered for prospects and contributors to the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) and its subsidiaries.
 
 
JOB DUTIES:
 
* Donations to the University of Maryland Medical System Foundation allows the University of Maryland Medical Center to sustain important initiatives such as innovative research, upgrades to facilities and programs, leading-edge technology and enhancements to patient care, thus improving health in Maryland and beyond.
 
*Donations are made to the University of Maryland Medical System Foundation (UMMSF) by cash, check, credit card, securities, payroll deduction, wire transfer or gift-in-kind. Donations are received via mail, phone, fax, M&T lockbox, wire transfer, through the University of Maryland Medical System website or in-person.
 
*Responsible for accurately processing all gifts, pledges and pledge payments according to donor intent, adhering to gift processing policies and procedures. Enter all gifts by batch processing method into Raiser’s Edge applying donation to correct Fund.
 
*Research, enter and maintain biographical information in Raiser’s Edge.
 
*Prepare weekly gift detail reports to share with Foundation staff. Weekly Gift Log encompasses donor information (mailing address and phone number), gift information (date of donation, amount of donation, payment type, appeal, and Fund) and the Gift Batch Number where the donation was processed.
 
*Prepare monthly gift log that encompasses the weekly gift log to share with Foundation staff.
 
*Needs strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office
 
*Maintains a high level of confidentiality and exercises good security protocols to protect donors’ personal and financial information
 
*Has excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
