Geospatial System’s Engineer
Our DOD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Geospatial Systems Engineer position that just opened in McLeansville, NC. In this role you’ll be a member of a cross functional team building your career by developing the solutions that support the mission of our nation’s service members, intelligence analysts and first responders. To be considered, you will have a degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job related experience.
Location: McLeansville, NC
Position: Geospatial Systems Engineer
Contract: 12-24 months with possibility of going direct/permanent
Pay: $46.99/hour
Work site: On site work
REQUIRES: Secret clearance to start
Overview:
As our Geospatial Systems Engineer you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for development and maintenance of command and control and data processing systems. You will be responsible to design, implement, and implement geospatial solutions on programs supporting our national security.
We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:
- BA/BS or Master’s in Computer Science, GIS, or related interdisciplinary majors or related fields (e.g., mathematics, science, engineering)
- Experience designing, implementing, and analyzing GIS and database solutions
- Demonstrated proficiency geospatial analysis and implementation.
- Familiarity with the ArcGIS suite of products
- Ability to maintain and update DBMSs
What sets you apart:
- Familiarity setting up and working in ArcGIS Enterprise in a virtual environment
- Experience creating Python tools, JavaScript applications, and Java
- Experience with source code management tools, such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
- Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
- Comfortable working in an Agile environment
- Comfortable presenting recommendations and technical solutions to clients
- Has a passion for growing and mastering new skills, keeps up to date with new tools and techniques, identifies and implements system improvements, and mentors teammates
