The Foundational Years
The origins of APR Consulting began when two independent IT contractors met and realized that there was a greater growth opportunity by merging their different skill sets.
1972
Linda Elamparo forms E.R. Elamparo and Associates, offering software design, development, and consulting services to a utility company in Los Angeles.
Darryl Stone establishes D.F. Stone and Associates, a computer programming firm focused on the aerospace and defense industries.
1974
E.R. Elamparo and Associates expanded into the aerospace and defense sector.
While providing contract services for the same client, Linda and Darryl met.
1976
Linda and Darryl formed a partnership under the name APR Consulting. “APR” stands for Accountability, Performance, and Results.
1978
APR secures its first two aerospace clients in Orange County.
1980
APR incorporates and becomes a certified minority- and woman-owned business focused on aerospace and utilities.
1988
Offers EoR services.
1990
Secures long-term contracts with SoCalGas Company, IBM, and Northrop Grumman.
APR adds to the leadership team to broaden the business base and accelerate growth. Ed Johnson joins as president (he brought in the IBM business), and Daryl Kling as director of marketing.
1994
Opens offices in Atlanta, Dallas, and Washington, D.C., to service federal contracts.
2000
Offers contingent workforce solutions.
2004
APR wins its first Clark County (Las Vegas) government contract.
2006
First contract with Verizon.
2010
APR becomes a key supplier through national MSP programs.
2018
Aaron Stone named COO: Enrico Gonzalo named CFO, Heidi Gonzalo named VP of Operations & HR, Daniel Benninghoff named VP of Client Relations & Recruited Services.
2020
APR enters into healthcare, pharma, gaming, hospitality, utilities, and local government.
WeCare® Program launch underscores APR's dedication to fostering strong relationships with contractors and contingent staff.
COVID-19. Pivots to remote operations and playing a crucial role in California's COVID testing and vaccination efforts.
2021
Wins a support services contact for Super Bowl events.
2022
Wins the Southern California Minority Supplier Development Council’s Supplier of the Year award.
2023
Heidi Gonzalo named Sr. VP, Operations & Human Resources; Daniel Benninghoff named Sr. VP, Client Relations & Recruited Services; Ajay Kumar named VP, Technology & Infrastructure
APR wins a 10-year $500 million contract with NASA’s JPL, this program utilizes APR's ARMS system.
City of Pasadena recognizes APR for its support of small businesses.
APR rebrands.
2024
Wins a security clearance contract with a major aerospace contractor.
Launches global solutions services in Europe and South America for US clients.
