Position: Purchasing Expeditor
Pay Rate: $30/hr
Duration: 26 weeks
Expected Shift: 7AM-4PM, 40hrs/week
JOB SUMMARY
1. This role is 26-weeks to start but could extend or have the option to convert based on attendance and performance.
2. This role is onsite at a minimum during training, at least 4-6 weeks and at the discretion of the manager could move to a hybrid or remote role. This will be discussed during the interview.
3. Interviews will happen via teams.
4. The dress code is business causal.
5. This role is assisting with cleaning out the system of old purchase orders, contacting requestors and confirming orders were received, and requesting proof of delivery from requestor.
6. The software used is Oracle. Oracle is highly preferred.
7. Peoplesoft oracle was the prior system. Another common software used in a role like this is Medi-Tech. Please make sure purchasing software experiences are clearly listed on the resume.
8. Candidates should have at least 12 months working in a Purchasing Coordinator/Expeditor type of role, most preferred is from a hospital environment.
9 This role assists with any supplies and general ordering. This is not an inventory role/warehouse role, this is a purchasing role and this hire will contact requestors, vendors, confirm orders in the system, verify proof of delivery, assist with incorrect deliveries and troubleshoot order issues. The role could include communication with Accounts Payable and invoice edits.
10. The working address for this position when onsite and for day 1 is 356 Loder Street, Sayre PA.
11. The hours are M-F 7am-4pm which includes a 60 min lunch.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary:
The Purchasing Expeditor is responsible for communicating with suppliers and distributors to confirm purchase orders, order tracking and ensure that all critical deliveries arrive at their destinations on time.
The Purchasing Expeditor acts as a liaison between the requestor, buyer and supplier to assure fulfilment in a timely fashion within the context of the organization’s strategic purchasing goals. The Purchasing Expeditor engages in a culture of continuous improvement to meet and exceed the procurement philosophy set forth by the organization.
Essential Functions:
•Responsible for managing purchase order follow up and open order report, keeping the information updated and accurate.
•Expedite orders daily to ensure on time delivery.
•Reviews new vendors against OIG exclusion lists.
•Works closely with the buyers and inventory team in scheduling and tracking inbound freight.
•Proactively identifies issues and works with the purchasing team, accounts payable, and suppliers to resolve issues in a timely manner.
•Communicates directly with suppliers and distributors on any critical issues that need immediate response as well as lead time and performance.
•Acts as a liaison between Purchasing Team, vendor customer service in regard to issues related to deliveries and supplier performance.
•Manages failed orders.
•Manages priority orders.
•Respond to follow up email requests.
•Completes RTV’s and communicates with the storeroom to ensure returns are properly processed to the vendors.
•Forward any POD’s to A/P as needed.
•Request POD’s from vendors as needed.
•Performs other duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have at least 12 months of Purchasing Coordinator/Expeditor experience (not warehouse or inventory coordinator). The role must have experience with purchase orders and ordering, contacting requestors, confirming receipts of delivery, communicating with vendors, etc. This role is not managing the orders as they come to the facility. This role is processing orders and getting them out to requestors in Oracle.
Must have HS Diploma. Copy of diploma with candidate submittal is preferred.
