Position: Medical Coder
Pay Rate: $45/hr
Duration: 13 weeks
Expected Shift: 8am-4:30pm, 40 hours/week
JOB SUMMARY
Position / Specialty: Remote Coder: float role for coding in OBV, SDS, pain center, infusions
*Must have own equipment*
*Infusions and injections knowledge is required for OBV and oncology infusions.*

Certs REQ:
– GED
– Associates or Bachelors Degree in Health Information Management
– Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Registered Health Information Management Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). CPC or COC
Skills and Experience REQ:
– Knowledge of the contents of the medical record
– Demonstrates working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10 PCS and CPT 4. Passing Score of 80% or higher on the coding test to be considered.
– Working knowledge of Ambulatory Payment Classifications (APC) and Diagnostic Related Groups (DRG)
– Previous outpatient and/or inpatient coding experience
Job Details:
– Assign diagnosis and procedure codes to reflect the condition(s) and treatment provided to the patient based on the documentation within the record for both inpatient and outpatient stays. The code assignment is utilized to determine reimbursement for the facility and physician, quality measures, hospital statistics, and medical research.
