Custodian
An aerospace client is looking for a Custodian who will be careful and thorough in working, cleaning, tidying the premises, and maintaining our facilities at our Northridge facilities.

Position: Custodian
Pay Rate: $19/hr. on W2
Duration: 6 months or longer
Schedule: 9/80 schedule – M-Th 7-4:30 (30 minute lunch) working Friday 7-3:30
JOB SUMMARY:
The company is seeking a responsible Custodian to maintain our facilities at our Northridge facilities.
The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. A custodian/janitor needs to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning, and tidying the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building cleaning and upkeep. They will have the physical endurance required to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by emptying and cleaning trash receptacles, tidying furniture, and dusting surfaces
- Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
- Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks, and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap, sanitary products, etc.)
- Wipe mirrors and windows
- Cleaning entrances, including glass doors and floors
- Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the appropriate department
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- US Citizenship is required.
- High school diploma or GED required
- 4 years custodial work experience
- Previous custodial experience required
- Knowledge of the use of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
- Possess working knowledge of the methods, techniques, and materials used in custodial work
- Knowledge of safe use and disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
- Attention to detail and conscientiousness
- Ability to climb ladders and work from heights
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Good physical condition and strength
