Engineering Technician
An aerospace client is looking for an Engineering Technician to provide test and technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
Location: Goleta, CA 93117 (On-site)
Position: Engineering Technician
Pay Rate: $29.98/hr. – $36.51/hr. on W2 (DOE)
Duration: 12 months or longer
Schedule: 9×80 A
OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Operations Test Engineering Manager, the Engineer Technician, Test will be responsible for the execution of test procedures, as well as performing post-test data processing and reporting to engineers. The qualified candidate will have ownership of their work through all phases of product development, production, testing, and integration supporting internal and external teams as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide test and technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
- Execute comprehensive component and system-level test plans, procedures, and test events.
- Participate in test planning and test readiness reviews.
- Analyze measurement requirements and equipment measurement tolerances.
- Define and maintain documented best practices for test processes and equipment.
- Contribute to maintaining and improving test equipment and infrastructure.
- Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as component and systems-level test results and engineering design changes.
- Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
- Maintains engineering documentation and reports (procedures and test reports).
- Support internal and external customers’ needs.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and solve test problems and aid manufacturing, inspection, and engineering issues.
- Analyze data and provide reports in a variety of customer formats.
- Knowledge with Laser Tracking Software such as Spatial Analyzer.
REQUIREMENTS:
- US Citizenship is required.
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2-3 years of experience.
- Knowledge with Laser Tracking Software such as Spatial Analyzer.
