An electric utility client is looking for an IT and Engineering Recruiter to lead our recruitment strategy and collaborate with System Planning & Engineering (SPE) leadership in hiring top engineering talent for critical infrastructure projects.

Location: Irwindale, CA 91706 (Remote and Local)
Position: IT and Engineering Recruiter
Pay Rate: $35.14/hr. on W2
Duration: 6 months or longer
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
***Remote position with occasional travel to Irwindale and/or job fair.***

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • We are seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to lead our recruitment strategy and collaborate with System Planning & Engineering (SPE) leadership in hiring top engineering talent for critical infrastructure projects. This individual will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting, sourcing qualified candidates, and ensuring compliance with industry hiring standards.
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies for engineering roles, including Systems Engineers, High Voltage Specialists (200kV & 500kV), Utility Engineers, and Substation Engineering professionals.
  • Collaborate with SPE leadership to understand hiring needs and align recruitment efforts with company objectives.
  • Source, screen, and assess candidates using various methods, ensuring a strong pipeline of talent.
  • Manage applicant tracking systems efficiently and ensure compliance with OFCCP guidelines and employment laws.
  • Conduct initial interviews and coordinate hiring processes with stakeholders.
  • Provide market insights and best practices in technical and engineering recruitment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in technical and engineering fields.
  • Looking for a strong technical recruiter who has hired for Engineering roles. Someone whose SME in sourcing on LinkedIn.
  • Proven expertise in sourcing, applicant screening, and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Extensive experience sourcing candidates via LinkedIn and other professional networks.
  • Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) (SuccessFactors).
  • Strong knowledge of OFCCP guidelines and employment laws.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with SuccessFactors, recruiting certifications, LinkedIn Certification
  • Previous experience recruiting for high-voltage and utility engineering roles is highly desirable.
